I've been trying for years, and I mean that, years to bake the perfect chocolate chip cookie.
I have tried 100 different recipes.
I follow the recipe WORD for WORD.
Sift flour, room temperature butter, beat in eggs 1 at a time....
NOTHING WORKS!
I gave it another try today.
I used half butter half shortening.
I went the whole 9 yards.
They look crappy.
They tasted worse.
My Mom's cookies are super flat. But very delicious.
Maybe cookies are like boobs....genetic.

I just use the cookie recipe from my Betty Crocker cook book and I think that they turn out awesome but one thing that I have learned is that I have to use a really nice cookie sheet to get great cookies. I have some nice shiny metal ones. They are AWESOME.

Have you ever watched that Episode of Friends where Phoebe won't share her family's famous Choc Chip Cookie recipe and it turns out its just Nestle Tollhouses recipe from the choc chip bag, hehe!
