Dear Nestle Toll House

You have got some explaining to do. Your baking directions were simple enough, but could you kindly explain to me how my cookies are supposed to look like this???

Instead of this?????

I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one whom would appreciate it.

A light color cookie sheet may help. Aluminum double insulated. Cook less time than they say. Good luck.

SO, you know that I was a fat kid in my earlier years, and because of that I sure know how to make a chocolate chip cookie! It looks like maybe you needed like 1/2 a cup more flour (I know that in utah you have to add extra flour to everything because of the altitude), and to make them "pretty", you should plop a few choc chips on the very top of your ball of cookie dough, as well as mix it in to the dough. My step-mom has the best looking cookies every time (they always look like the picture). So i asked her about them, and she says the trick is to use butter AND Crisco. So, if its 1 cup butter (2 sticks), then use 1/2 cup butter, and a 1/2 cup Crisco. Now my cookies turn out great too. Good luck!
