Merry Christmas To All!

This year we got to go to Kevin's family's Cabin. It's in Island Park, near West Yellowstone. It was amazing! So quiet and relaxing. We enjoyed his family's company, ping pong, air hockey, reading, sleeping, and my favorite eating. Here's some of our favorite pictures.

Balance

I know everyone has gone through this or is going through this, I hope. Cody was born so at first I was just trying to figure out how to breathe and take care of a baby. Now that I can do more and more it's hard to find a balance between keeping a clean house, and self, and having a life of my own (does that sound awful?) and playing with my son, spending time with him and holding him. I swear SWEAR my house is alergic to staying clean, it might explode if it's clean for longer than 24 hours. Even in the balance of all of this Kevin is working a lot, at least he is on a break from school for around a month. It was hard when he would leave around 7 and not come home til 9 or so, It doesn't seem that bad to some, and really I should be thankful. I guess this is just the new chapter to my life and I'm so glad for it, I'm just learning how to live it. I think it was Kelly Ripa said in a magazine once that children are like pancakes you pretty much burn the first one and then figure it out after that. I don't even know if I am making any sense. Please tell me I'm not the only one trying to find a balance.

Stupid Friggin IDIOT!

This morning while cooking breakfast (Kevin got eggs and old fashion oatmeal for me), we were in a hurry to get him to the bus stop. My water was boiling so I opened up the oatmeal set the plastic lid down on the red hot burner next to me. It was an accident, obviously I wouldn't do something like this on purpose. We let it burn out, but quickly our house filled with toxic disgusting smelling smoke. So what was once a semi-warm, good smelling house is no more. I put Cody in our bedroom for now so I can have windows open and fans going. Good call Aguato!

2 Month Check Up

This was the face of my son getting his shots (PLEASE NOTE: I didn't take this picture during the shots, this was a few days ago). I cried, not a lot but a little. He is 14lbs 10oz, 23 1/4 inches long. 91% Head, 80% height, 100% weight. Our big boy.

Dang Christmas Tree Dang Christmas Tree!

Christmas time. It can be a joy, and such a pain! Haha. I swear those christmas decorations sat in there boxes out in our living room for 2 weeks before we decided to get them out of our way. Last night we finally got our christmas tree up and decorated. Cody was asleep for all of it of coarse.

Let It Snow!

Yesterday we woke up to a small blanket of snow. It was melted by noon of coarse, but Boise doesn't get very much snow at all and it's usually melted shortly after. I miss Coeur d' Alene for that reason, a truely white christmas. So I ran Cody outside to see his first snow. In the picture of his head you can see the snowflakes in his hair.

Let me rephrase my story. I was freaking out about our messy house while holiday decorating yesterday. Kevin goes to school all day and works at night. I can't put up the lights by myself, with no one to watch Cody for me. Kevin had the car and the stroller, so I remembered that I had a few "slings" and went to go dig one up. I had a snuggly which I don't know how to use. And a wrap n wear, also don't know how to use. Luckily the wrap n wear came with a instructional dvd. I was set! I bundled us up and walked to Joann's fabrics (we live across the street from there). Although it doesn't seem like much of a walk, you do have to go down to the corner for the cross walk, and then it's a big parking lot. It was nice to really stretch my legs. Cody fell asleep almost instantly. You'll also notice I am wear a blue tooth. You heard it. I'm one of those people now. Actually Kevin got it for me so if anyone calls while nursing, or any other activity while my hands are occupied I can still talk. Lord knows us new mom's need social time. Thanks Kevin.
